For the past 24 years, the Galloping Hill Cruisers Car Club has generated and donated funds to worthwhile organizations in our area.  The Car Club is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the safe enjoyment of all types of vehicles.  We host a cruise night every Monday from May through October at the Galloping Hill Inn, 325 Chestnut Street, Union, NJ from 6 - 9 p.m.  The proceeds from our cruise nights are donated to NJID (New Jersey Institute for Disabilities). 

NJID is a worthwhile organization that meets the unique needs of children and adults with disabilities.The Lakeview School is an approved private school for children with multiple disabilities from ages 3 to 21.  There is an extensive clinical staff, traditional academics, therapeutic intervention, and pre-vocational skills development.  The Children's Center meets the unique need of children from birth to 3 years of age.  NJID has day programs with comprehensive services for adults with disabilities; residential alternatives for community living, group homes and alternatives that foster independence, dignity and personal choices in living arrangements.

May 7, 2012 is our first cruise night for this year. 

There will be no cruise nights on Monday, 5/28, and Monday, 9/3/12.  Our Halloween Finale will be on October 29.  On July 2, 2012 we will host a "Tribute to America" night where our participants will decorate their cars in their own personal tribute to America.

Hot Rod Mike will again be our DJ for our Monday Cruise Nights; he did a fabulous job all last year.  A total of 517 cars were registered in 2011. 

In 2011, we hosted a luau-themed cruise night.   Check out our "luau page" to see some of the decorated cars.  The Halloween Finale was terrific....184 cars in our lot!!

On 12/21/11, members of our club visited the Lakeview School.  We presented our 2011 donation to them and we enjoyed their Holiday Concert!

We are currently accepting sponsors for our 2012 season.  The sponsorship donations cover the cost of trophies, door prizes, and a donation to NJID at the end of the season.  The sponsor's name will be engraved on the trophy they sponsor.  For more information about sponsoring our cruise nights, contact Janet @ Msled55@aol.com.
